Earthloop sind Mark Bloomer (GB) und Andrew Cadie (GB), Richard Carter (NZ) und Nils Nolte (D). Sie bringen ihre Erfahrungen aus verschiedenen Musikstilen ein und machen selbst vor der Neuinterpretation großer Klassiker nicht Halt. Traditionelle Melodien, Folksongs, Soul, jazzige Harmonien und groovige Drumloops machen den Sound von Earthloop aus. Vergleichbar ist er am ehesten mit dem der Bands Capercaillie, Paddyrasta, Martyn Bennett oder Afro Celt Sound System.
Mit der Besetzung Fiddle, Irish Flute und Whistles, Drums, Keyboards und vier Gesangsstimmen überschreiten sie die traditionellen Grenzen der Folkmusik.
